INFO zur WM 2025
Dear Ynglingsailors,
We would like to inform you about the 2025 Worlds at the Oosterschelde, Netherlands.
First of all, we want to let you know that we had to make the change back to the first communicated harbour, Roompot Marina. Due to different reasons we could not come to an agreement with Colijnsplaat.
Luckily Roompot Marina was still willing to host our event and so we will be sailing from here. Sailing area will still be the same, and so is the current, the fact that we’ll be sailing in a National Park and the nice surroundings of Zeeland. The harbours are only 13 km apart.
We are aware that this change of location is not fortune, especially for those who have booked accommodation in Colijnsplaat already. If you experience any problems with cancellation or booking, please let us know and we can see how we can help.
The event website is live and will be filled in the next weeks. You can find accommodation suggestions here, as well as the racing schedule. The Notice of Race and registration via Manage2Sail will be published soon. https://www.yngling.nl/worlds

Info: Gardasee und Achensee 2025
Der Yngling Club Österreich plant in der kommenden Saison die Austragung einer Regatta am Gardasee.
Diese Veranstaltung soll von 19. bis 21. Juni 2025 stattfinden. Am Wochenende davor (14. bis 15. Juni 2025) wird am Achensee in Tirol eine Regatta stattfinden. Diese Regatta wurde so angesetzt, um den Teilnehmern aus dem Norden eine bessere Anreise zum Gardasee zu ermöglichen.
Hier der geplante Terminplan:
- 14. / 15. Juni 2025 Regatta am Achensee in Tirol
- 16. Juni 2025 Anfahrt zum Gardasee
- 17. / 18. Juni 2025 Training am Gardasee
- 19. bis 21. Juni 2025 Regatta am Gardasee
- 22. Juni 2025 Heimreise

UYCT: Oktoberfestregatta
Oktoberfestregatta 28.-29.09.2024
Am letzten Septemberwochenende fanden sich 13 Mannschaften zum Yngling Oktoberfestpreis im UYCT ein. Der Veranstalter reagierte spontan auf die leider nicht so gute Wetterprognose und organisierte kurzerhand eine schwimmende Sauna um den Teilnehmern die Möglichkeit zu geben sich nach den anstrengenden Wettfahrten zu entspannen und aufzuwärmen. – Gesegelt wurde dann jedoch nicht so viel. Dem drehenden Westwind geschuldet gab es aber immerhin ein ausgeprägtes Starttraining am Samstag. Die anhaltende Flaute Sonntags nach dem Weißwurstfrühstück ließ leider keine weiteren Wettfahrten mehr zu. So blieb es bei dem einen Ergebnis vom Samstag. Zum Glück hatten wir bei der WM im Frühjahr mehr Windglück. Ich möchte mich bei den Helfern und Wettfahrtleitung bedanken.

Willi Schmidl verstorben
Liebe Mitglieder!
Der Yngling Club Österreich trauert um sein langjähriges Mitglied Willi Schmidl.
Willi ist am 20. August, im 91. Lebensjahr, zu seiner letzten großen Fahrt aufgebrochen.
Unser aufrichtiges Beileid gilt seiner Familie.
